Model Overview

The Taikan VMC850 is a 3-axis CNC vertical machining center built for medium-to-high volume precision milling, drilling, and rigid tapping across automotive, aerospace, and general contract manufacturing. Built on a rib-reinforced Fine-Grain HT300 resin-sand cast iron frame weighing 5,600 kg, the VMC850 provides an X/Y/Z working envelope of 850 × 500 × 550 mm and a 1,000 × 500 mm hardened T-slot table rated for 600 kg workpieces. It features a 10,000 rpm BT40 spindle driven by an 11/15 kW high-torque servo spindle motor, 35/35/45 mm preloaded roller linear guideways with 36/36/32 m/min rapid traverse rates, and a 24-station dual-arm cam-type automatic tool changer delivering 1.8-second tool-to-tool swaps. Laser-calibrated pitch compensation ensures ±0.004 mm positioning accuracy and ±0.002 mm repeatability under continuous 3-shift operation.
