The Taikan CK6140 is a precision horizontal flat-bed CNC lathe built for flexible batch production, maintenance machining, and long-shaft turning up to Ø400 mm swing over bed and 750, 1,000, or 1,500 mm distance between centers. Constructed from resin-sand Fine-Grain HT300 cast iron (2,150 kg for the 1,000 mm model), its 330 mm wide flat bedways are ultrasonic-quenched to HRC 52–55 and precision ground, paired with Turcite-B PTFE anti-friction saddle liners to eliminate stick-slip at micron feed rates. Equipped with a Ø52 mm bore spindle (60–2,000 rpm, 7.5 kW), 4-station vertical electric turret (or 6/8-station horizontal turret), and MT4 tailstock, the CK6140 delivers rapid ROI and ±0.004 mm repeatability.
Deep-hardened V-and-flat cast-iron guideways resist wear and absorb radial cutting loads during shaft turning between centers.
Low-friction fluoropolymer guideway lining prevents micro-chatter and guarantees smooth interpolation on tapered and spherical profiles.
Tailor bed length to your exact shaft envelope, from compact stepped pins to 1.5-meter conveyor rollers and leadscrews.
