The Taikan TCK56 is a heavy-duty 45° slant-bed CNC turning center built for high-torque roughing of large forgings and precision CBN hard turning (up to HRC 62, surface finish Ra 0.4 μm) as a direct replacement for cylindrical grinding. Weighing 5,400 kg, its heavily ribbed Fine-Grain HT300 one-piece bed offers a Ø630 mm swing over bed, Ø460 mm maximum turning diameter, and 750 mm turning length (1,000 mm extended bed option). The A2-8 headstock features a Ø90 mm spindle bore (Ø78 mm through-bar capacity), 10-inch or 12-inch hydraulic chuck, and an 18.5/22 kW motor delivering 350 Nm of low-end torque. Available with 45 mm heavy roller linear guideways or induction-hardened ground box ways, the TCK56 holds ±0.004 mm positioning accuracy and ±0.002 mm repeatability.
